Enjoy some homemade recipes, for natural products. They are quick to prepare and you will be surprised how good they are.

Oils: Olive, Sunflower or Almond Oil

Oils are great moisturizers and they provide solid barrier, not allowing your skin lose more moisture.
How to Apply:
If you have dry hands, you can apply really thin layer of any chosen oil onto your hands and give it few minutes to soften and nourish your skin, then apply second layer - it's more efficient way than applying one, thick layer of the oil.
Note: Natural oils are often the first recommended option by dermatologists.

Oat Meals Bath

Just add 2 cups of blended oat meals to your bath – quick and easy!

Flaxseeds Mask

You will need flaxseeds, olive oil and vitamin A & E in drops.
  1. Pour the boiling water to previously blended flaxseeds, mix it well to create smooth consistency.
  2. Add small amount of olive oil and few drops of vitamin A & E, mix it well again.
  3. Apply the mask over your face and wash it off after 15 minutes with cool water.
1 Tip: If you have dry skin problem and you prefer taking long, warm baths, consider switching to much quicker showers (not too hot). Your skin will feel much better.
2 Tip: Be careful what soap you use. It's recommended to use shea butter soap, which will not dry your skin, like ingredients in some other soaps do.

Vitamins & Foods

It's common that dry skin is caused by a bad diet. Make sure you provide your body with vitamins it needs, especially Vitamin A & E.
Great sources of vitamin A:
Apricot, carrot, egg yolk, liver, spinach and yellow cheese.
Great sources of vitamin E:
Boiled spinach, kiwi, nuts and especially vegetable oils.
Consider moisturizing yourself from inside-out by eating more fresh salads (don't forget to add vegetable oils).

Product Ingredients & Recommended Moisturizers

There are few ingredients your products should contain and one of them is shea butter, excellent moisturizing ingredient. Don't forget about glycerine and vaseline, not because they moisturize good, they help to keep the moisture inside. Let's check shea butter and it's moisturizing properties and products we recommend.

Shea Butter / Effective Moisturizer?

It's widely known and recommended ingredient by dermatologists and friends; but also how many skin care brands incorporate it within their product lines. Why? Because it's widely beloved ingredient, it has nice consistency and it works, works very well.
Shea butter makes your skin more subtle and delicate, moisturizes your nails, hands, elbows, knees, lips and legs – seems like there is nothing else left to moisturize.
It can be used:
  • on allergic and sensitive skin,
  • after shaving – legs or face, works great for men & women.
It may be hard to find pure shea butter, but if you can, I would say – go for it!
